Information
architecture (IA) is the foundation for great web design. It’s
the site’s blueprint upon which all other aspects are built
– form, function, navigation and interface, content, and visual
design.
Initiating the IA process is the first thing
we do when designing a site.
A good IA is incredibly effective. It sorts out
content issues early on and saves both time and money in the long
run.
The first 3 steps are intensely collaborative,
but extremely effective in defining the two things most websites
forget - audience needs and usability. |
